Creek Summer Games

Introducing...CREEK SUMMER GAMES! In the spirit of the Olympics, we are coming together as a church body to get active. Through the MoveSpring app, you get to experience a fun and interactive Olympic-themed Journey Map that includes special messages from current and former Olympians along the way. LifeGroups: Online, At Home & On Campus

If you're interested in finding or starting a LifeGroup, text GATHER to 77978.

In a large population, creating a sense of community and connecting with others is important. In the church, it’s crucial. LifeGroups are small groups within the larger church in which people of similar interests take care of the “one another” in life. In a large church, it’s important that community exists in order for relationships to be real and relevant.

 

Membership Workshop

Every adult who is interested in joining Cottonwood Creek is required to complete the Membership Workshop video series and attend one of our Membership Workshop classes.

Both of these classes will be in person and will include a light meal. Register online.

 

New Series

Next weekend we kick off a new series! Titled “I’m Not Okay,” this series will explore mental health, as well as the impact our relationship with Christ has on our mental and physical wellbeing. Be sure to join us for this powerful new sermon series!

 

Ministry Academy

The Ministry Academy at Cottonwood Creek Church exists to equip the saints for the work of the ministry by teaching who God is through His word, so that the body of Christ may be strengthened.

Men’s Bible Study

Every Tuesday morning, get together with other men from Cottonwood Creek for the Tuesday Men's Bible Study at 6 a.m. in the Atrium. Each week is a time of study and fellowship led by Pastor John Mark. Experience this biblical community and grow deeper in your faith, while building up each other in biblical truth.

Join us at Cottonwood Creek Church for our Worship Nights on the last Tuesday of each month! Come and let your soul be refilled as we worship the Lord in community with one another. 

Worship begins at 7 p.m. in-person and online. We hope to see you there. If you can’t make it this time, don’t worry - you can attend online! Mother/Daughter Brunch & Brew

Saturday, August 14 | 10-11:30 a.m. | Atrium | $5

This event is for all women and girls (middle school age and up) – whether you are a mother or a daughter or both, you are welcome! Join us for a fun time of teaching, worship and togetherness! A coffee barista will be on-site to make your favorite lattes, and a yogurt parfait station with fruit is included in the cost.

Table Talk

Table Talk with Creek Women is an event that fosters relationships with other like-minded women while growing in our Christian faith. We desire to better understand the word of God and how to apply it to our lives through guest speakers and small group table discussions. We meet on the third Thursday of every month. Bring your own lunch or buy one through the church.

This is a 6-week study in which Gary Thomas explains that this one word can bring hope, light and life into any marriage: cherish. “Most marriages survive by gritting teeth and holding on. But marriages can and will not only survive but thrive when husbands and wives learn to cherish one another.” Linda & Cliff Holbeck are leading this study.

 

Creek Student Ministry Resources

We have created resources for students (6th - 12th grade) that will help engage you and your community with the Lord at home.

 

K-2 Ka-Boom

Register ASAP | August 6 - 7 | On-Campus | $50

Kindergarten - 2nd graders (completed) - join us as we embark on an adventure at K-2 Ka-Boom! You will learn about the Armor of God as you rotate through activities including Bible stories, crafts, games and recreation.

This is an overnight event, however, there is a designated time for pick-up on Friday night, along with a time to return on Saturday morning, for children who may not be ready to spend the night away from home.

 

Promotion Sunday

Sunday, August 8 | 9:30 & 11 a.m.

This is the day your kids “move up” to their next age and grade levels. Kidz Blitz Live will lead our new 1st - 5th graders in a crazy fun Bible time in the gym at 9:30 or 11 a.m. Our Birth-Kinders will receive a Creek Kids t-shirt.

 

Creek Kids Praise

Wednesdays | Beginning September 8 | 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. | Free

I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.” -Psalm 104:33

Creek Kids Praise is a fun night of worship and Bible activities for kids 3 years (potty trained) through 5th grade. Kids will enjoy praising God together, while singing familiar favorites and learning new worship songs. We also dive into the truth of God’s Word in fun and interactive lessons.

There are two sections of Creek Kids Praise:

  • Up-Praise: 1st - 5th grade meets in B109/111.

  • Lil’ Praise: 3 years - kindergarten meets in A143.

Serve With Creek Kids Praise

Interested in Serving with Creek Kids Praise Wednesdays? Come to our information meeting and dinner on Wednesday, August 4 at 6 p.m. in B111. If interested, email creekkids@cottonwoodcreek.org. We relaunch on Wednesday, September 8.

 

Awana

Sundays | Beginning August 22 | 3 year olds (as of 9/1/2021 and potty trained) - 12th grade

Kids represent the greatest opportunity to make a long-term impact on our world for Christ. Awana reaches kids where they are and walks alongside them in their faith journey through exciting Scripture memorization and Bible study, fun games and engaging large group sessions. Those kids who come to faith at an early age discover God's purpose for their lives and hope for the future.

Registration opens August 1 for the 2021-22 Awana year.

  • $30 per child plus material cost until Friday, August 20.

  • $35 per child plus material cost beginning Saturday, August 21.

Kid Care Preschool Registration

Kid Care Preschool is continuing to enroll students for the 2021 - 2022 school year.

  • Our weekday preschool ministry runs Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

  • Kid Care provides care, early education, Biblical education and growth opportunities for children ages 6 months through transitional kindergarten.

Men’s Softball League

Cottonwood Creek will be participating in a Men's softball local city league. The cost for the 8 week season is $60 and includes league, team jersey, and game balls. To learn more, fill out the interest form below.

 

Before We Say I Do

Sundays | September 12 - October 10 | $75/Couple

The Fall 2021 “Before We Say I Do” premarital counseling class will begin Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021.

We also offer individual counseling separate from the class if you prefer couples counseling. The cost is $25.00 per session with a minimum of four sessions. The maximum number of sessions is eight.

If you chose to do the couple’s counseling, you will receive a Twogether In Texas discount for your marriage license. The discount is $60.00.
