There is hope and a solution to the challenges of our times — just as there has always been hope and a solution to the challenges of every time.

As with all challenges in life, God’s Word provides the answer. God revealed the hope and solution to His prophet Daniel, and it is still true for us today. Daniel 11:32b says, “but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action.” So, who are these people, what does standing firm mean and what action are they taking? Living Water. Helper. Lord. Many believers long for a clearer understanding of the Holy Spirit and the role He plays in our relationship with God. The good news is, when we study the Bible, the Spirit’s specific identity and work as a member of the Trinity is made clear.

In The Power of The Holy Spirit’s Names, bestselling author and pastor Dr. Tony Evans examines 12 of the Spirit’s most significant titles and what they reveal about this powerful, present and personal expression of the triune God. As you read, you’ll gain eye-opening insights into how the Spirit moves within the hearts of believers while learning how His indwelling of you shapes your unique faith.

As we grow in our ability to love, revere and relate to the person of the Holy Spirit, we also grow in our capacity to experience God. This book will help you internalize profound truths about the Holy Spirit’s character and transform how you understand the Trinity.

Do you have trouble thinking of words to say to God when you pray? Are you afraid some emotions are too intense to express to God? Do you reach the end of a day only to realize you haven’t prayed at all? You’re not alone. Prayer is the way we relate to God, but sometimes it’s a struggle. Throughout God’s Word, we encounter many voices who teach us how to pray.

In this 7-session study, join with six beloved Bible teachers who will help you study prayers in the Bible that can inspire your own. You’ll learn that God welcomes your praise and lament, your thanksgiving and intercession. You’ll see examples of how to pray when you’re alone and when you’re gathered with others. Above all, you’ll notice there’s no one right way to pray. As you draw near to God through prayer, you’ll find your faith strengthened and your heart united to Christ.

Many of us believe that we aren’t good enough to meet other people’s expectations. Maybe you can’t wrap words around why, but lurking beneath the surface of the carefully curated façade you present in public, it’s there. Being missed and marginalized by others moves us to assume we’re not quite good enough for God either.

The great news woven throughout the Gospel according to Luke is that perfection is not a prerequisite for a deep and personal relationship with Jesus. In fact, this riveting account reveals that Jesus is especially fond of ragamuffins in need of a safe place to lean in and linger! Join Lisa Harper in this Bible study of a literary masterpiece that doesn’t celebrate the elite, but embraces the outliers, outcasts and overlooked!

In this 7-session study, discover how the gospel message can empower you to parent in the freedom of God’s sovereignty. So that you can breathe deeper, walk lighter and enjoy your children—and the parenting journey—more than ever before.

Creek 55+ Special Events is excited to announce that we will be a host site for the Legacy Grandparenting Summit as our upcoming fall event.

The theme for this year’s summit is “Light the Way.” The Legacy Grandparenting Summit is a “paradigm-shifting event that teaches Christian grandparents to embrace the fullness of their biblical role and light the way to the one true God and His Son, Jesus Christ.”

This event is a wonderful opportunity for not only in-reach within the Cottonwood Creek community but also a chance for outreach in the surrounding communities. We would love to see our sanctuary full of grandparents from all over North Texas and the DFW area desiring to light the way for future generations.

Please mark your calendars about this upcoming event. A box lunch will be available from Chick-Fil-A for an additional cost of $10.

Creek 55+ Special Events will need each of you to make this event a success. Ask God what your role in this will be. First and foremost, we need prayer! Pray for the planning team, the speakers and music and pray for the grandparents who will be attending this summit. Pray for them to be a light in their grandkids and great grandkids’ lives. Secondly we will need volunteers to greet, direct traffic, work the prayer room, help with check-in and distribute the box lunches. If you can help in any way, please sign up under Special Events/Speakers tab on the main page.

  • Mended: Monthly on Select Mondays | Meeting at Local Restaurants | See Schedule

Mended is a Care Group for adoptive moms with mostly teenagers. This is a safe place for those moms to come together in fellowship and build each other up. There are no judgments here, this is a space to talk about the highs and lows of working with their kids.

This group is geared toward moms with older children who have been with them for a while.
